Philadelphia, Pa. - In a battle for the top-seed in next week's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Championship tournament, it would be Jefferson claiming the regular-season crown as the Rams slammed visiting Georgian Court University, 4-0, in Wednesday's CACC showdown.
The defeat marks the first for the Lions vs. Jefferson (12-5, 11-1 CACC) in five years when GCU fell to the former Philadelphia University, 1-0, at home (10/15/14). Georgian Court had been 3-0-1 vs. the Rams since that last loss.
Georgian Court, with its 9-2-1 conference mark (12-5-1 overall) will be the second seed in next week's tournament as the Lions prepare to host a quarterfinals match Tuesday, November 12, at 2:00 p.m. All matchups will be released by the CACCÂ later this week.
