Newark, Del.-
Caleb Bowser topped all players with 25 points while
Matt Ringel, the reigning Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week, registered his third double-double of the season, as the Lions closed out the regular-season series vs. Wilmington University, falling to the Wildcats 86-79, in CACC men's basketball action.
Bowser now sits just 23 points short of becoming the fourth player in program history to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau, and falls just 92 points shy of the single-season points record, established by
Jordan Wejnert in 2013-14 (509). His 20+ points marks the eleventh such game this year for the junior.
Ringel records his second 20-point effort of the campaign (Nov. 20 vs. Assumption) while his 15 rebounds ties teammate
Kim Speller (Jan. 19 at Concordia-NY) for most by a Lion this season.
Kristian Alexander poured in 12 points, including a trio of three-pointers, over 26 minutes of action.
GCU (4-19, 3-11 CACC) owned an early seven-point lead after a Bowser lay-up put the road team ahead, 10-3, 3:58 into the game. The Wildcats swiped the lead for good at 9:31 when a

The Wilmington lead never dipped below six points, and climbed as high as 16 on numerous occasions, in the second half as the Wildcats improved to 10-13 (7-7 CACC) with the triumph.
Jermaine Head (RJr.-Edgewood, Md.) dazzled for the victors, falling just two assists short (8 total) of a triple-double (22 points, 14 rebounds).
