Philadelphia, Pa. -
Caleb Bowser became the fourth 1,000-point scorer in the six-year history of the Georgian Court University men's basketball program as the senior needed just eight points entering Saturday's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) divisional contest at Holy Family University.
The milestone bucket came courtesy of a fast-break layup with 1:03 remaining in the first half, joining former LionsÂ
Juwuan Carter (2014-18, 1,298),
Keith Hughes (2013-17, 1,100) and
Nikola Vujovic (2015-18, 1,006) on this elite list.Â
Bowser closed out the eventual 78-67 loss to the Tigers with 14 points on the day.
Sean Barksdale topped the team with 19 points and seven boards.
Kristian Alexander netted 12 points and grabbed six rebounds while
Bryce Council dished seven assists in the contest.
For Holy Family,
Patrick Robinson (Fr.-Chesterfield, N.J.) paced all scorers with his 24 points in the victory.Â
Vincenzo Dalessandro (Jr.-Levittown, Pa.) and
Kharon Randolph (Fr.-Philadelphia, Pa.) followed with 17 and 13 points apiece while
Branden Aughburns (Jr.-Queens, N.Y.) snagged a game-high 13 rounds.
Georgian Court (4-22, 3-14 CACC) returns to campus this Wednesday as the Lions play their final home game of the season, an 8:00 p.m. contest vs. Goldey-Beacom College.Â
