Kaitlin Lister Nets Opening-Night Hat Trick in Lions' 6-3 Loss at Pace

Pleasantville, N.Y. -A  2-0 first-half lead for Georgian Court University vanished in the blink of an eye in the second stanza as host-Pace University unleashed six goals to leave the visiting Lions stunned in a 6-3 opening night non-conference victory for the Setters.

Kaitlin Lister accounted for all three of GCU's scoring efforts to earn the senior the hat trick. The Toms River, N.J. native connected on a pair of Anissia Fucci feeds in the first period to provide the Lions a two-goal cushion heading into the break. Pace pounced out of the locker room as the Setters found the net three times in the first 8:43 of the session to take a lead they would not relinquish.

The six goals allowed were the most permitted by the Lions since falling to Wilmington University by a 6-0 margin back on Oct. 23, 2012. Pace (1-0) dominated the shots column on this night, 23-8 (13-6 shots-on-goal).

Georgian Court (0-1) returns to action Sunday afternoon (4:00 p.m.) when they take on the University of New Haven. The game will be hosted by Pace University.
