Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. - Georgian Court University men's soccer still seeks its first goal of the season as the Lions experienced their second-straight shutout to start the year, falling at Nova Southeastern University, 7-0, Sunday morning. GCU opened the year on Friday with a 2-0 setback at reigning NCAA Division II champion, #1 Barry University.
The Sharks (1-1) attacked early and often as the home team owned a 4-0 surplus just 14:51 into the contest. NSU added a trio of tallies in the second stanza to lock up the non-conference victory.
Things do not get easier for the Lions as GCU returns north to play at the 2018 NCAA Division II runner-up, #4 West Chester University, Friday at 4:00 p.m. The Lions have had the Golden Rams over the years, however, as Georgian Court has defeated WCU in each of the schools' previous three meetings.
