Lyndhurst, N.J. - Four different Lions found the back of the net Saturday night as Georgian Court University rolled to a 4-1 triumph at Felician University, the program's first win in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's soccer action this season.
Haley Pignatelli (6:56),
Krystal Hund (penalty kick, 51:30), and
Ashley Merizalde (66:42) each registered their third goals on the year while
Aliya Canfield (41:41) poured in her second of the campaign. The host-Golden Falcons (1-6, 0-3 CACC) posted healthy 21-13 advantage in the shots column, but the Lions made the most of their efforts, owning a 10-9 edge on frame.
Alyssa Dias (1-5) compiled her initial winning effort of the season in the GCU net as the junior net-minder gathered eight saves in the complete-game performance (90:00).
The Lions (2-6, 1-2 CACC) return home to host Chestnut Hill College Wednesday evening in another CACC tilt.
