Lakewood, N.J.-
Maddie Jimenez (Sr.-Bensalem, Pa.) accounted for both goals (including the eventual game-winner just 62 seconds into the game) in Wednesday's 2-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) triumph at Georgian Court University as Chestnut Hill College women's soccer snapped a 12-game losing streak to the Lions.
Now 15-2 all-time vs. GCU, the win marks the Griffins' first vs. its conference foe since securing a 1-0 shutout over the Lions back on Sept. 14, 2010.
Despite the outcome, Georgian Court out-shot Chestnut Hill by a 19-8 margin and owned a 4-1 surplus when it came to corner kicks. CHC improves to 3-4-1 (2-3 CACC) with the road win while the Lions slip to 2-7 (1-3 CACC) on the year.
GCU takes to the road for its next outing, a visit to Bloomfield College this Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
