Waterbury, Conn. - Georgian Court University returned to the win column Friday night as the Lions authored a swift 3-0 sweep of Post University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's volleyball action.
The Lions put together a straight-set victory of 25-22, 25-20, and 25-21 to claim win #20 on the season (20-7, 11-4 CACC) while the Eagles dipped to 8-16 (5-7 CACC).
Coming off Wednesday's 10-kill effort at Holy Family University,
Grace Fenn once again topped the GCU offense as the senior floored 11 kills to go along with a .318 hitting percentage.
Kinsy Haschke contributed a double-double performance with 10 kills ane 10 digs, complemented by a hefty .450 hitting percentage.
Nahomie Alejandro Negron also shined on the offensive end with six kills and a .357 hitting percentage. The junior was a menace above the net as well with five blocks, three of which were of the solo variety.
Trilby Kite and
Faith Bennett shared the setting responsibilities, dishing 20 and 14 assists, respectively.Â
Georgian Court returns home to host Jefferson Thursday night in a CACC divisional match loaded with playoff implications. Start time is set for 6:00 p.m.
