Garden City, N.Y. - In the first-ever meeting between Georgian Court University and Adelphi University in women's soccer competition, it would be the host-Panthers that would take the maiden match-up by a 3-0 score Monday afternoon in NCAA Division II action.
After a scoreless first half, Adelphi rattled off a trio of second-stanza tallies to win the contest going away. AU (7-5-3) outshot the visiting Lions by a margin of 20-6 (13-3 on-frame).
Georgian Court (6-10), currently sitting in the eighth-and-final CACC postseason slot as of this writing, closes out the conference portion of the regular-season calendar Wednesday with a 3:00 p.m. home game vs. first-place Holy Family University.
