Lakewood, N.J. - In its final outing before the commencement of next week's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Championship Tournament, Georgian Court University suffered its first shutout defeat of the season, a 2-0 setback to visiting Queens College (NY), Thursday in NCAA Division II action.
Tallies at 25:03 and 75:39 allowed the Knights (7-8) to double up GCU, sending the royal-and-gold to a third-straight defeat (10-4-3) to end the regular-season.
Georgian Court, the #4 seed in next week's conference tourney, will host #5 Holy Family University Monday at 1:00 p.m. as the Lions' seek redemption for Tuesday's 2-1 home loss to the Tigers.
