New Haven, Conn. - Georgian Court University's Leighanna Lister became the latest Lion to achieve conference-wide acclaim as the junior has earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week honors, for Week #3.

The 6'0" forward played a major role in leading GCU to a 3-0 record a week ago, and a perfect 7-0 mark thus far during this abbreviated 2020-21 campaign. Lister opened the week with eight points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks in a Tuesday road win at Caldwell University (72-53). Leighanna followed up that performance with 10 more boards, a pair of swipes, and one denial in Thursday's 64-49 home victory vs. Nyack College.
 
Not just one-way player, Lister has also been getting it done on the offensive board as the Kutztown, Pa. native currently leads the entire CACC with a 58.3% field-goal percentage. She also places second with 10 total blocks and fifth overall with 48 rebounds.
