Jazz Perazic Selected as 2020-21 CACC Women's Coach of the Year

New Haven, Conn. - The 2020-21 women's basketball campaign and Georgian Court University's Jazz Perazic have one thing in common ... unpredictability. Perhaps that is why the Lions' sideline leader has seamlessly navigated her squad through every obstacle possible to achieve not only a perfect 7-0 record, but also the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) regular-season crown, the top-seed in this week's championship tournament, and a spot (#19) on the most recent D2SIDA National Poll.

For her tireless efforts, it is no wonder that Perazic, in her seventh season with GCU, is this season's CACC Women's Coach of the Year. She leads the royal-and-blue to its second-ever postseason berth as a NCAA Division II program, having reached the CACC semifinals back in 2018-19.

Compiling a talented roster that includes Anyssa Fields (CACC Player of the Year, CACC Defensive Player of the Year, CACC All-Conference) and Tian Addison (CACC All-Conference), the Lions have averaged 73.7 points-per-game while outscoring their opponent by an average scoring margin of 12.6 points.

The Lions will host either #4 Concordia College or #5 Caldwell in Thursday's CACC Championship Tournament semifinals. Catch all of the postseason action LIVE at 6:00 p.m. (5:45 pregame) at caccnetwork.com/georgiancourt.
