Lyndhurst, N.J. - Georgian Court University's three-game losing streak is now history at the Lions posted a commanding 3-1 road victory at Felician University (0-5, 0-5 CACC) Saturday evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's soccer action.
Sam Thombs (2nd of season) and
Rhys Cotter (1st of year) netted first-half goals for GCU with tallies at 14:37 and 41:58, respectively.
Louis Silva, who assisted on Thombs' scoring effort, collected a goal of his own at 78:41 (2nd of year)Â to wrap up the Lions' offensive fury.
Mathias Madersbacher provided the helper on Cotter's game-winner.
GCU (2-3, 2-3 CACC) owned the shots column, 28-7, and dominated with a 15-3 shots-on-goal margin. The Lions also earned 18 corner kick opportunities, compared to zero for the home team.
Jamie Hickey earns the win in the Lions' net, compiling a pair of saves over 90:00.
