Lakewood, N.J. - Georgian Court University improved to an impressive 10-1 (2-0 CACC) on the year as the Lions dismissed Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) divisional rival, Goldey-Beacom College, in straight sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-19) Tuesday evening.
Nahomie Alejandro Negron put together her finest effort of the campaign as the junior floored a match-best 12 kills on 19 total attempts (two errors) for a stellar .526 hitting percentage. The native of Bayamon, Puerto Rico also added five blocking assists and a trio of service aces to balance out her impressive stat line.
Grace Fenn put down nine kills on 16 attempts (zero errors) for a mighty hitting percentage of .563.
Nylene Mateo finished one dig short (nine) of a double-double with 11 kills on the night.
Kinsy Haschke (three kills) led the Lions with her 16 total digs.
Trilby Kite dished a team-high 16 assists, to go along with 10 digs, to earn the senior setter her third double-double of the year.
Faith Bennett distributed 12 helpers and settled five digs on the night.
GCU returns to the road Thursday evening for another CACC divisional showdown as the Lions pay a visit to the University of the Sciences at 7:00 p.m.
