Nylene Mateo floored 12 kills, as Georgian Court University concocted a 3-1 victory at University of the Sciences Thursday evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's volleyball divisional action.
The Lions iced the Devils by scores of 25-19, 25-19, 21-25, and 25-12 to improve to a perfect 3-0 in conference play (11-1 overall). USciences, playing only its third match of the year, remains winless at 0-3 (0-3 CACC).
Haschke paced the victors with 14 kills in the win while settling 10 digs for the double-double performance.
Trilby Kite (nine) fell one dig short of her sixth double-double as the senior setter secured 26 assists on the night.
Faith Bennett contributed 17 helpers of her own while
Jessica Sprankle collected a match-best 16 digs.
Talia Gonzalez added eight kills and five blocking assists to the effort.
GCU now prepares to host defending CACC-champion, Holy Family University, this Saturday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. in a rematch of the spring 2021 CACC Championship Tournament title match. The Tigers (7-2, 2-0 CACC) are coming off a 3-0 Thursday night sweep of the previously-undefeated Jefferson Rams (11-1, 2-1 CACC).
