Lakewood, N.J. - Just short of two years since the Georgian Court faithful last filled the stands of the Wellness Center Arena, the fans came out in droves Wednesday as a raucous crowd was treated to an entertaining evening with the Lions blanking visiting Lincoln University, 3-0, in its 2021 home opener.

GCU, which improves to a perfect 4-0 with the triumph, dropped its guest by scores of 25-17, 25-13, and 25-23. Lincoln University, playing its first contest of the season, falls to 0-1 to start the year.

15 different Lions saw action in the victory as Grace Fenn paced the royal-and-gold above the net with eight kills and a .583 hitting percentage. Trilby Kite dished a team-best 19 helpers and four digs. Jessica Sprankle led the way with seven digs on the GCU back line. Kinsy Haschke floored four kills and a match-high four service aces.

The Lions put their undefeated mark on the line Thursday night with a visit to Pace University in non-conference action. Start time is set for 7:00 p.m.
