Pleasantville, N.Y. - Fresh off Wednesday's energizing home-opening victory vs. Lincoln University, Georgian Court returned to the road Thursday night as the Lions pushed their record to a perfect 5-0 with a 3-0 triumph at Pace University in non-conference competition.
GCU cruised past the host-Setters in straight sets: 25-20, 25-20, and 25-18.
The Georgian Court offense authored a .300 hitting percentage as a squad, flooring 47 total kills on the night.
Kinsy Haschke slammed a match-best 14 kills and compiled a stellar .323 hitting percentage.
Nahomie Alejandro Negron and
Nylene Mateo followed with nine kills apiece.
Trilby Kite and
Faith Bennett fired off 18 and 14 assists, respectively, while
Jessica Sprankle delivered seven helpers and settled a team-high eight digs. Negron and
Chelsea Ross soared to five blocks apiece in the shutout.
The Lions return home and prepare to host Queens College (11:00 a.m.) and West Chester University (3:00 p.m.) Saturday in a non-conference tri-match.
