Despite trailing by 30-23 score at the break, and experiencing a game-high, 10-point deficit at the 7:55 mark of the first half, the Lions battled all the way back to tie DC, 39-39, after ripping off a 16-9 run over the first 7:58 of the second stanza. GCU would edge its guest, 31-30, over the final 20:00 of play.
Olisa Ngonadi provided his second double-double of the week (2/1 at USciences) for the royal-and-gold as the junior transfer contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds over 29 minutes.
Davon Floyd continues to warm up as the senior followed with 12 points and three steals.

GCU returns to the home hardwood this Wednesday night (8pm) as the Lions host Holy Family University in a vital divisional contest vs. the Tigers. The Lions upended HFU on the road, 50-47, back on Dec. 7.
