New Haven, Conn. - Fifty-seven (57) student-athletes have been named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, as announced Wednesday by Commissioner
Dan Mara.
On the Georgian Court women's front,
Sabrina Chandler (Finance, 3.73 GPA) and
Jessica Rogers (Exercise Science, 3.96) each earn their third-career selection to this elite list. Rogers, for the second-straight season, was presented the CACC's Top-XVI award, given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the CACC championships.
Senior
Heather Devaney (Marketing, 3.61) and juniors
Alexis Hahn (Biology, 3.94) and
Talysa Jimenez (Social Work, 3.92) achieve All-Academic status for the second time while
Kasha Elzinga (Jr.-Marketing, 3.84) makes her All-Academic debut.
Cheyenne Hunsberger, who achieved All-Academic acclaim last year as a member of the Georgian Court women's soccer program, receives the honor for the first time with women's lacrosse.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
