Syracuse, N.Y. (Sept. 3, 2022) - The Georgian Court Lions Men's Soccer team picked up their first win this season to close out their weekend on the road. Along the way senior captain
Jay Abraham picked up his first collegiate goal and freshman David Tuschman collected his second.

How It Happened
• Straight out the gate at the four minute mark the Dolphins had an opportunity with a missed corner kick by Owen Bauer.
• Bauer then had a golden opportunity to put the Dolphins ahead, but missed on a penalty kick 30 seconds later to keep the game scoreless.
• A third opportunity came for the Dolphins with a corner kick by Alessandro Otte which the Lions brushed aside.Â
• The Lions found their offense shortly after as
Jay Abraham laced one into the net with help from
Sam Thombs.

Mathias Madersbacher nearly made it 2-0 Lions. His strike was stopped by Josh Mahr at the 29th minute mark.
• With one minute left to play,
David Tuschmann with help from
Cherif Tamar, put one in the back of the net to secure the win for GCU.
• Le Moyne outshot GCU 13-9 with two shots being on goal for the Dolphins. They also took 11 corner kicks in the match.

Cherif Tamar each recorded an assist in the effort.

Mathias Madersbacher led the game with threes shots and one on goal.

Matthew McFadden followed behind with two shots and one being on goal.
• Corral and Mallon also connected with the ball giving them a shot a piece.

• Michael Lantry and Benedict Klimmek each had two shots with one on goal.
• Owen Bauer and Max Busch followed behind getting two shots off a piece.
• Goodrich, Stern, Otte, Crysler-Howard, and Bosak each got a shot off on the day.
