• It looked as though this might be a close game as with 2:41 to play it was still a one-possession lead with the Lions up 37-34. Over the final 2:20 though, they outscored Bridgeport 9-3 helped out by going 4-5 at the free throw line. At the break, the Lions had their largest lead of the game, 46-37.
• Wright, Jr. pushed that lead over 10 hitting a three-pointer to start the second-half scoring. It was then Jamaal Waters' turn to extend the lead. He scored six straight by himself as the Lions pushed the lead to 16, 55-39 with 15 minutes left to play.
• The lead was in double-figures the rest of the way. Every time the Purple Knights threatened to go on a run, Georgian Court was there to respond as they were able to cruise to an 86-72 win.

It Was Over When...
• Midway through the second half, Bridgeport got the lead down to 11, 63-52. Georgian Court though didn't let that bother them. Jalen Bates hit a layup, then a jumper from Shane Williams and another three from Wright brought the lead back to 16, 70-54, and broke the Purple Knights spirit as GCU was on their way to their 10th win of the season.
