NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Oct. 31, 2023) - This morning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) released their 2023-24 Preseason Women's Basketball Coaches Poll. The season is set to get underway one week from Saturday.
In the poll, Georgian Court was picked to finish in a tie if fourth-place in the South Division. The CACC standings are split into a north and south division with six teams in each. The Lions found themselves in a tie for fourth with Chestnut Hill each garnering 35 points. Jefferson leads the poll followed by Holy Family and Goldey-Beacom in the top-three. Wilmington finishes up the South Division.
In the North Division, Dominican garnered all possible first-place votes to lead. Post ranks second following by Caldwell, Felician, Bridgeport and Bloomfield.
The Lions have a big freshman class with eight freshman and nine total newcomers among the 15 on the roster. GCU is returning just five who played last season. Among those who played year are junior

Erika Aspajo along with sophomores
Imani Gillette,
Paula Perez-Fabregas and
Leah Snisky.
The season gets underway November 11 at Southern Connecticut State.
