Hahn Two-Time CACC Goalkeeper of the Year; Five Lions on All-CACC Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 2, 2023) - Senior Alexis Hahn highlighted five All-CACC selections as announced by the league office this morning. Hahn was selected as the league's Goalkeeper of the Year while also making the First Team.

Joining Hahn on the All-CACC First Team is junior midfielder Remi Reinhardt. Seniors Riley O'Connor and Alyssa Wahl made All-CACC Second Team attack and senior Kelsey Naclerio was chosen as an All-Conference defense.

This season Georgian Court finished 9-8 in the regular season with an 8-2 mark in conference play. They tied for second in the regular season standings but earned the number four seed in the upcoming CACC Tournament. The Lions also won their 50th consecutive CACC regular season game earlier in the season which dated back to 2016.

For the second time in her career Alexis Hahn was named the CACC Goalkeeper of the Year. She started every game for the Lions totaling 900Alexis-Hahn-2023-CACC-Goalkeeper-of-the-Year regular season minutes and two seconds. She's made 146 saves with a 44.2 save percentage and 12.27 goals against average, all of which are in the top-four in the CACC. Earlier this season Hahn became the second Lion to ever record 400 saves and is 15 shy of setting a new Georgian Court saves record. She's the first Lion to ever win two CACC Goalkeeper of the Year awards and the first in the history of the CACC. She's also the 15th Lion to ever be named a First Team All-Conference selection on multiple occasions. 

Remi ReinhardtJunior Remi Reinhardt joins Hahn on the All-CACC First Team. This is Reinhardt's first All-CACC award. The midfielder has done a bit of everything for the Lions this season with 34 goals, seven assists totaling 41 points. She leads the team with 96 draw controls while also grabbing 31 ground balls and causing 17 turnovers. Her 6.00 draw controls per game rank fifth in the CACC and 22nd in the country. She is the only player in the CACC to average two or more goals per game, and six or more draw controls with at least 30 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers.

On the All-CACC Second Team is senior defense Kelsey Naclerio, giving her three straight All-CACC selectionsKelsey Naclerio. She's just the 11th Lion in program history to make three All-Conference teams. Naclerio leads the Lions defense with 38 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. She's in the top-20 in the league in both categories and ranks seventh in ground balls per game. In 11 games this season Naclerio has picked up at least two ground balls. She's caused multiple turnovers in five games. 

Riley O'ConnorMaking her first career All-Conference team is Riley O'Connor who makes the All-CACC Second Team. O'Connor leads the Lions offense with 68 goals this season, third most in the CACC and ninth in the country. She's also chipped in seven assists with 51 draw controls, 19 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. O'Connor is scoring on 56.5% of all free-position shots which is also third in the league. She's the only player in the league to average more than four goals per game and more than three draw controls per game. O'Connor scored her 100th career goal earlier this season and has a chance to become the fourth Lion to ever score 70 in a season needing two more.

The leading point scorer for Georgian Court, Alyssa Wahl makes the All-CACC Second Team. Wahl is at 100 points exactly after the regular seasonAlyssa Wahl with 57 goals and 43 assists. She's just the fourth Lion to ever score 100 points in a season. Wahl is the only player in the CACC to be in the top-five in goals and assists this year. Her 5.88 points per game rank fifth in all of Division II. She is one of just three players in the country to be in the top-30 in both goals and assists. Additionally Wahl has picked up 16 ground balls, won 15 draw controls and caused seven turnovers. Her 1.06 free-position goals per game also lead the league and her 56.2% free position percentage ranks fourth.. She's scored multiple points in 15 of 17 games and two or more goals in 14. 

Georgian Court begins the 2023 postseason this afternoon as they host No. 5 Holy Family in an opening round game at 3:15 p.m. The Lions have won 10 straight CACC Postseason games and the last five CACC Tournaments.
