NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (July 27, 2023) - Earlier this week the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) came out with their 2023 NCAA Division II Academic Honor Roll. Among the 401 student-athletes from 59 different institutions were four Georgian Court Lions.

In order to be eligible for the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have completed at least there junior season and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater.

The four Lions to make the team in 2023 were Kasha Elzinga, Alexis Hahn, Cheyenne Hunsberger and Talysa Jimenez. All four were seniors following the 2023 season. 

Elzinga finished her senior year with a 3.90 GPA in Marketing. Hahn had a 3.94 GPA as a Biology major. Hunsburger is a senior in the GCU Nursing program with a 3.61 GPA. Jimenez sported a 3.72 GPA while studying Social Work. 

As a team, the Lions also made the 2023 Academic Honor Squad. To qualify as an Honor Squad, team's must have at least a 3.2 team GPA for the academic year.
