LAKEWOOD, NJ (Aug. 10, 2023) - Georgian Court Athletics is happy to announce the recent hiring of Patrick Zahn MS,LAT, ATC, NSCA-CPT to the Lions Sports Medicine staff.

Zahn will step in as the new Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and will also be the Athletic Trainer for the GCU Cross Country and Track and Field programs. 

Georgian Court Director of Sports Medicine Joe Friedrich spearheaded a national search to fill the position and spoke about Zahn's hiring saying, "I'm excited to have Patrick join our Sports Medicine & Performance team! His expertise in strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and performance optimization will be a great asset for the Lions."
 
Patrick graduated from Messiah University's Athletic Training program in 2019. Upon graduation he worked in the high school setting in New Jersey during the 2019-20 academic year. He then went on to an Athletic Trainer Fellowship in St. Louis, Mo. where he earned his Master's Degree in Applied Exercise Science: Strength and Conditioning from Concordia University of Chicago in 2022. During that time, he worked both at a high school in North St. Louis as well as at Harris Stowe University. While in St. Louis, Patrick was heavily involved in the club soccer and rugby programs in the area as well.

Prior to moving back to New Jersey, Patrick worked at Cairn University in Langhorne Manor, Pa. as an Assistant Athletic Trainer working with all sports and assisting in Strength and Conditioning.
