NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Sept. 26, 2023) - Georgian Court Men's Soccer's Mathias Madersbacher had himself a career afternoon last week against Goldey-Beacom. The senior scored a hat trick against the Lightning in GCU's only game of the week and was rewarded as the CACC Player of the Week.

Madersbacher helped the Lions to a point in CACC play as GCU came-from-behind to tie 3-3 against the Lightning. The Lions are now unbeaten in their last three games.

For Madersbacher, it's the first time he's ever scored two goals in a match, let alone three. It's the sixth hat trick in Lions soccer history and he's the first player other than Michael Clarke to achieve the feat. 

The draw was the Lions only match this week. They play three times this week starting today, Sept. 26 against Holy Family at 3:30 p.m.
