NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Nov. 13, 2025) - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced their 2025 All-CACC Men's Soccer Team Thursday afternoon and Georgian Court was honored with a pair of First Team recipients.
For the second straight year, both
Mikey Mallon and
Gijs van Eif earned a spot on the league's First Team. They become just the third and fourth Lions in program history to make the All-CACC First Team in multiple years and are the first since GCU Hall of Famer Michael Clarke in 2015 and 2016 to make the First Team in consecutive seasons.Â
Van Eif was one of the NCAA's leading scorers and was on pace to potentially finish as the CACC Player of the Year, but was forced to miss the final seven games of the regular season. Despite playing in just 10 games, van Eif led the Lions and is still tied for second in the CACC with nine goals scored. He averaged nearly five sports per game and finished the year with 19 points scoring nine times and adding one assist. In the preceding four games before his season was cut short, van Eif found his scoring touch. That's where he scored all nine goals with three multi-goal games and a hat trick at Daemen.Â
When van Eif went down, it was Mallon who stepped up in his absence as a goal-scorer. Always more of a pass-first midfielder, Mallon was putting more balls on net and finding success. He finished the year scoring a career-high five goals and added an assist for 11 points. Mallon too missed time, appearing in 13 of 17 games and finished second on the team in points, goals and shots. He recorded his first career multi-goal game putting in two at home against Dominican.Â
