Bronx, NY (Nov. 19, 2024) - Georgian Court Men's Basketball was on the road Tuesday night at Division I Fordham. The Lions did their best to hang with the step-up in competition but ultimately fell 101-61.
How it Happened
• For the game, Georgian Court shot 39% from the floor, 20% from three and hit 8-9 from the line.
• Fordham connected at a 51.5% clip and were nearly as good from deep, going 14-30.
• The Rams held the edge in rebounding 46-27.
• GCU turned the ball over 19 times and Fordham 14.
• While Fordham had an advantage behind the arc, inside the paint, the Rams outscored Georgian Court by just six, 36-30.
1st Half
• The Lions held two early leads in this one.
Khalil Baker scored on the Lions first possession for a 2-0 lead and a jumper from
Caleb Mims made it 4-3.
• Fordham started hitting three-pointers early. Their first three baskets were from deep and after getting up 9-6, never looked back.
• Georgian Court went cold, going more than six minutes scoring just two points while the Rams pushed their lead to 26-10.

Justin Agyare-Nkansah hit a three and the Lions offense found some rhythm in the final 3:33, scoring 14 points before the half.
• But Fordham continued to pour it on and led 56-32 at the break.
2nd Half
• Georgian Court hit another cold spell in the middle of the second half.

Justin Harper started it with a triple.
Cam Edmonds followed it up with seven points in a 1:07 span.
• After that though, GCU was scoreless for nearly five minutes while the Rams extended the lead to 78-44.

Michael Duviella got in on the action in the final minute with a pair of three throws and the game came to an end, 101-61 for Fordham.

• Cam Edmond scored a game-best 16 points on 6-11 shooting with a pair of three-pointers.

Justin Agyare-Nkansah scored 11 on 4-8 shooting and 2-5 from three.

Caleb Mims and
Khalil Baker each scored eight with four rebounds.
For the Rams
• Jaden Smith and Josh Rivera each scored 14 points. Smith added 13 boards for a double-double.
• Jackie Johnson III scored 11 with four rebounds and four assists.
• Japhet Medor was 3-3 from behind the arc for nine points.

• This was the Lions and Rams first ever meeting.
