LAKEWOOD, NJ (Jan. 25, 2025) - Georgian Court Men's Basketball couldn't get out of the gates against CACC North Division leading Dominican. The Chargers started the game 7-8 from the floor en route to an 88-62 win Saturday over the Lions.
How it Happened
• Dominican finished the game shooting 57% overall making 4-12 from three and 18-28 at the foul line.
• The Lions shot just 26% overall, 25% from three. They made 24-32 from the line.
• Dominican turned 17 Lion turnovers in 23 points while GCU forced just 11 giveaways, leading to 12 points.
• Rebounding numbers were near even with GCU holding a 39-38 advantage, including 13-4 in offensive rebounding.
1st Half
• Hard to get off to a better start than the Chargers did. Before five minutes ticked off the clock, Dominican was up 18-0.
• Georgian Court found their footing a bit and started to knock down shots.
• The Charger offense was red-hot though in the half, shooting 58.6% from the floor and making 4-6 from behind the arc.
• The Lions trailed by 20 with two minutes to go in the half.

Jacob Santiago and
Cam Edmonds each made a couple of free throws and
Taheen Braswell-Brown connected on a corner three right before the half and it was a 15-point game, 45-30 after 20 minutes.
2nd Half
• More than five minutes into the second half, nothing had changed, it was still a five-point game as the teams traded baskets.
• The Chargers never let off the gas though and eventually built their lead to a game-high 28, 84-56.
• The Lions never got to within single digits and the Chargers cruised to an 88-62 win.

Cam Edmonds was kept in check scoring 19, hitting 9-10 at the line with six rebounds.

• Jaden Honis scored a game-high 20 points going 7-10 from the floor and 3-4 from three-point-land.
• Chance Morrish was 6-7 off the bench for 13 points.
• Emmanuel Smith added 15 with seven rebounds.
