LAKEWOOD, NJ (Oct.11th,2025) -Georgian Court Women's Soccer took a 1-0 win over Staten Island, making it two straight victories.

How it Happened
• The Lions wasted no time, scoring just a minute in to grab a quick 1-0 lead.
• Shots were nearly even, with GCU taking eight and CSI right behind with seven for the game. 

 First Half 
• Chiamaka Wokocha had the first and only goal of the game. 
•  A precise cross from Lillian Piper found Wokocha, who headed it in giving the Lions a 1-0 lead. 
•  A strong defensive effort from the Lions kept CSI to just two first-half shots.

Second Half 
• Both teams had opportunities in the second half but couldn't find the back of the net.
• Both teams took an even five shots in the second half. 

Lion Stat Leaders 
• Jaeleigh Tuccille had five saves in net. 
• Chiamaka Wokocha had one goal for the Lions. 
• Lillian Piper had a key assist in the game for the Lions
.• Hailey Funkhouser had three shots for Georgian Court.

• Isabella Schlee and Caitlyn Thompson each had two shots for the Dolphins.
