Lakewood, NJ (Oct.25th,2025) - In a tense finish,
Meghan Moore capitalized on a corner kick in the final minute, sending the ball past the keeper and giving the Lions a hard-fought win.
How it Happened
• Celebrating her Senior Day,
Julia Eichenbaum got the Lions on the board early, scoring 13 minutes into the match to give her team the lead.
• Dominican responded quickly, breaking past the Lions defense just three minutes later for Jessie Maraia's first goal of the match.
•
Erynn Richey extended the Lions lead late in the first half, curling a free kick from just outside the eighteen into the back of the net to make it 2–1 at halftime.
• The Lions out shot Dominican 16-3 in the first 45 minutes. Georgian Court also had seven corners in the first half compared to the Chargers one.
• Jessie Maria scored her second goal of the game midway through the second half with a big header.
• With one minute remaining,
Meghan Moore raced to the corner to set up a final chance for the Lions. Her corner kick curled into the net, marking her first career goal and securing the win.
• GCU out shot Dominican 24-8 in the game.
