Lakewood, NJ (Oct.4th 2025) - The Lions fell 3-0 to the Caldwell Cougars on homecoming weekend.
How it Happened
• The Cougars got on the board within the first 26 minutes of the game.
• The Lions held Caldwell to that one and only goal in the first 45 minutes.
• Caldwell found the back of the net two more times in the remainder of the game.
First Half
• Caldwell recorded twice as many shots as GCU, finishing with 12 to GCU's six
in the first 45 minutes.
•Valerie Monge had her second goal of the season and the first goal of the game.
• Caldwell showed a physical edge in the first half, racking up eight fouls compared to four from GCU.
Second Half
• Seven minutes into the second half Rosio Cardenas had her sixth goal of the season, putting Caldwell up 2-0.
• In the final 45 minutes, GCU was limited to only two shot attempts.
• The third and final goal came from
Taina Gervais with just four minutes remaining in the game.
