NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Nov. 16, 2025) - Georgian Court Women's Basketball wrapped up a challenging opening weekend in Connecticut, falling to 0-2 after today's 86-50 loss.
1st Half
• Bentley came out firing in the first quarter, scoring 28 points, their highest-scoring quarter of the game.
•
Amyah Bray scored the first four points for the Lions, which included two layups.
• Bentley's bench proved to be just as strong as their first five, combining for 27 points in the first half alone.
• An impressive first half for Bentley, they shot 50% in the first quarter and 80% in the second.
• The Lions shot 45% percent to open the game and 40% in that second quarter.
• Going into the half the Lions trailed 22-50.
2nd Half
• GCU Freshman
Morgan Sconza opened up with a three to begin the second half.
• The next six Lion points were all scored from
Samantha Jones, with three back-to-back layups.
• Although the Lions scored 18 in the third, the stops weren't coming on the defensive end. The Bentley Falcons still had a 24-point quarter.
• The Falcons outscored the Lions by just two in the fourth quarter.
• It wasn't enough, though, to give Bentley any kind of scare they rolled to an 86-50 win.
Lion Stat Leaders

Samantha Jones led with 12 points and five steals.
•
Maeve Connell had five points and three assists.
•
Farrah White chipped in with eight points.
For the Falcons
•
Ava Orlando went 5-6 from three and scored 15 points.
•
Niya Morgen had 10.
