DUE WEST, SC (March 1, 2025) - Georgian Court Baseball's opening weekend is officially in the book. Georgian Court played a three game series with Erskine, finishing up Saturday afternoon. The Lions fell in the series finale, 19-2.
How it Happened
• Erskine ripped 16 hits while the Lions were held to just three.
• GCU also committed four errors, leading to 10 unearned runs.
• Lion pitchers struck out seven and walked six. GCU batters fanned nine times and drew seven walks.
• After a scoreless first, Erskine put up 11 runs in the second. Jorge Pascual homered twice in the inning, driving in four.
• Of the 11 runs, 10 were unearned as the Lions committed three errors in the inning.
• A fourth-inning grand slam put the Fleet up 15-0.
• Georgian Court got on the board in the fifth on
Carter Rieben's RBI single to score
Larry Rodriguez.
• A bases-loaded walk brought home Georgian Court's second run.
