BOCA RATON, FL (March 11, 2025) - Georgian Court Baseball was in action Wednesday for a twin bill against different opponents. The Lions played single games against Northeast-10 foe Bentley and one against the host school, Lynn.
Game 1 - Bentley 26, Georgian Court 12
• Game one of the day featured 38 runs and 35 hits. GCU pounded out 13 hits for 12 runs. The Bentley offense totaled 26 runs on 22 hits.
• Both teams made three errors in the field. GCU pitching allowing seven unearned runs, and the Falcons just one.
• Every inning but the fourth saw at least one run scored.
• Things started off well for the Lions who scored seven in the top of the first.

Larry Rodriguez all had run-scoring hits.
• By the time the top of the second inning started, Georgian Court saw themselves trailing. Bentley saw the Lions seven runs and raised them nine. Brendan Sencaj tripled and homered in the inning.

Sammy Cruz made it 9-8 in the second with a double, but the Falcons put up six more in the home half of the inning. Sencaj capped the inning with his second home run in as many innings, this time a grand slam with all four runs unearned.
• Now trailing 15-8, GCU scored twice in the third.
Oliver Santana's triple drove in the first run. He scored on
Carter Rieben's sacrifice fly.
• Bentley wasn't finished though. They scored four in the fifth, two in the seventh and four more in the eighth.

Israel Garcia homered in the sixth for Georgian Court.

Tomas Tamargo was 3-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Sammy Cruz singled, double, drove in a run and scored.

Larry Rodriguez plated two runs with a triple.
For the Falcons
• Brendan Sencaj's finished the day 4-7 with a triple, three home runs and nine runs batted in.
• Patrick Purcell reached base six times with five hits and scored four runs.
• Jimmy Mitchell scored five run going 3-4 with two walks.
Game 2 - Lynn 14, Georgian Court 6
How it Happened
• Lynn scored 14 runs on 15 hits with eight going for extra bases.
• The Lions collected 10 hits and scored six times. Eight of their 10 hits were singles.
• GCU committed five errors in the field which led to three unearned runs.
• Lion pitchers also struggled with command throwing eight wild pitches.
• Georgian Court batted around in the top half of the inning and
Austin Keefer was spotted a 4-0 lead before throwing a pitch.
• GCU loaded the bases with nobody out. It looked like Lynn might get out with minimal damage thanks to a strikeout and RBI groundout.
Israel Garcia though plated a pair with a seeing-eye single through the left side and a Fighting Knights' fielding error brought in another run for 4-0 Lion lead.
• The Knights got a run back in the bottom of the inning scoring on an RBI double.
• The Lions grabbed their four run lead right back thanks for
Alex Elliott's solo home run to left.
• Lynn led off the home half of the inning with a home run of their own and it was a 5-2 GCU lead after two.
• The Knights continued to play long ball in the third. A Lion error put the leadoff man on and one batter later got to within one, 5-4, with a long home run down the right field line.
• As the inning continued, a wild pitch brought in the tying run all the way from second base and through three it was a 5-5 game.
• Lynn took their first lead in the bottom of the fourth. They scored five runs on four hits with a pair of two-RBI singles and a run scoring on a wild pitch.
• Just like in the first, Georgian Court loaded the bases with nobody out. This time, they only brought in one run on a double play cutting the lead to 10-6.
• The Knights padded their lead with two in the sixth and two in the eighth on their way to a 14-6 win.

• Allan Jorge tossed four scoreless innings in relief.
• DJ Flowers was 3-4 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored.
• Cole Fowler doubled as a part of a three-hit day with two runs and an RBI.
• Leon Paulino also homered going 1-3 with two walks and two runs scored.
