Three Lions Net Five All-CACC Awards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 29, 2025) - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced their 2025 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference team ahead of the CACC Tournament. For the 16th time Georgian Court is back in the conference tournament semifinals, thanks in part to their three All-CACC selections.

The three Lions on the team netted five individual awards. Senior Isabel Raimondi made the All-CACC First Team and became a two-time All-CACC selection. Junior Caitlin Petrellese earned her first and second All-CACC awards. She made the First Team at midfield and Second team as a draw control specialist. Freshman Nena Menard was awarded the league's Rookie of the Year award. She also made the Second Team as a midfielder.

This is Raimondi's second time on the All-CACC Team and first time making the First Team. Raimondi leads the team in all major offensive categories and is in the CACC top-five in all three as well. She's scored a career-high 53 goals with 52 assists and her 105 points are also a new career-best. She set the Lions all-time record for points scored earlier this season and also becomes the first Lion to ever reach 100 points in two different seasons. Raimondi has scored a point in all but one game this season and has four games with double-figure points. Raimondi has chipped in on defense too, setting a career-high with 28 ground balls and has caused four turnovers.

Petrellese has enjoyed a breakthrough season as the team's Swiss Army Knife. This is not only Petrellese's first time on the All-CACC Team, it's her first career All-Conference award. She's set career-highs across the board with 48 goals, five assists, 54 ground balls, 28 caused turnovers and 81 draw controls. She's one of just two players in the CACC top-10 in goals, ground balls, caused turnovers and draw controls and that other player is the league's Player of the Year. She has at least one point in each game this season and twice has been named the CACC Defensive Player of the Week. That's not all though as new this year the CACC is awarding a First and Second Team award to the top draw control specialists. Petrellese is an inaugural draw control All-CACC performer, getting the second team nod. She has 81 draw controls and averages 4.50 draw controls per game this season.

Menard becomes the first Lion to win the CACC Rookie of the Year award in program history. She has burst onto the scene, winning four Rookie of the Week awards this season. In addition to her Rookie of the Year honors, Menard earned CACC Second Team honors as a midfielder. Menard has continued to improve and is now up to 37 goals on the season and 42 points. On the defensive end, Menard has also thrived with 42 ground balls, 15 caused turnovers and 66 draw controls. She's scored multiple goals in 11 games this season and set a new career-high with seven, helping GCU advance to the CACC Tournament Semifinals.
