Lakewood, NJ (Sept. 30th, 2025) - Georgian Court Women's Soccer faced the Chestnut Hill College Griffins in a tight match that ended in a 1-0 loss for the Lions.
How it Happened
• The first 45 minutes both teams were scoreless.
• Chestnut Hill scored with 13 minutes left in regulation.
• The Lions had glimpses of opportunities but could not tie the game.
First Half
• The Griffins had an aggressive first half, firing 12 shots before halftime.
• Georgian Court was limited to only four shots in the opening half.
• Although the Griffins out shot the Lions 12-4 in the first half, the teams entered the break tied 0-0.
Second Half
• A handball in the box was called on Chestnut Hill 20 minutes into the second half, setting up a potential breakthrough for the Lions.

Chelsea Lavezzo's penalty effort came close but hit the crossbar, keeping the game scoreless
• In the 77th minute, senior Alyssa DeGeorge scored the only goal of the match to secure the victory for Chestnut Hill.
