Weather Report
• We are in store for excellent racing conditions tomorrow morning.
• Mostly sunny with temperatures in the low-mid 60s.
• And what seems like an abberration on weekend's lately, no rain in forecast!
Last Time Out
• Georgian Court last competed at the West Chester Purple and Gold Invitational back on September 26.
• Little did the Lions know, that was a two race day as not only did they run on the course in Coatesville, they had to race the nor'easter that was hitting the Jersey Shore that day.
• The teams got the race in and the women's race was dry, but the men weren't so lucky as they finished their race in rainy and windy conditions.
• Both teams finished in third place. The women ran a 4K and were led by
Dori O'Halloran's third place finish.
• The GCU women had some new members racing for the first time. One of those newcomers,
Nena Menard, finished just outside the top-10 in 11th place.
•
Ryan Pettrow and
Richard Riopel both finished in the top-10 in the men's 8K with Pettrow's sixth place finish leading the way.
Previously at the NJIT Invitational
• The team did not race at the NJIT Invitational in 2025, but did so in 2024.
• Noone on the current women's team competed two years ago.
• On the men's side,
Colin Broadbelt,
Luke McCormick,
Ryan Pettrow and
Zachary Spoonire all raced at Branch Brook Park.
• For Broadbelt and McCormick, this was the race they ran their personal-best 8K times in.
• Pettrow and Spoonire also ran some of their best races at Branch Brook Park.
About Branch Brook Park
• This is another fast and flat course, going over lots of grass, dirt and rubber.
• It's also another looping course with the women doing two loops and the men three.
