BOCA RATON, Fla. (Feb. 22, 2026) - Georgian Court Baseball got the 2026 season started with a doubleheader at Lynn. The Fighting Knights, who had already played 11 games this season appeared to be in midseason form, sweeping the twin bill while the Lions were working the rust out.
Game 1 - Lynn 9, Georgian Court 3
How it Happened
• Georgian Court's offense scored three runs on two hits.
• Lynn plated nine on 13 hits, including three home runs.
• Strikeouts were a problem for the Lions who fanned 13 times.
• The Fighting Knights opened the scoring with a three-run second. An RBI groundout brought home the first run. Lynn added two more on consecutive two-out RBI singles.
• A half inning later, GCU got to within one, scoring twice without a run-scoring hit. An error brought home
Evangelos Spyrogiannis who was hit by a pitch to start the inning.Â

Zinny Kemahu then made it a 3-2 game with a sacrifice fly to center.
• In the fourth, the Lions tied the game at three as Spyrogiannis went deep to left with a two-out home run.
• Lynn broke the tie with a solo home run in the fifth. They scored three in the sixth and one apiece in the seventh and eighth to get to the 9-3 final.
Lion Stat Leaders

Donovan Gevers got the opening game start and he went five innings allowing four runs on eight hits with a walk.

Eduardo Eble-Lacouture finished the game throwing the final 1.2 innings and surrendering one run on one hit with a strikeout.

Evangelos Spyrogiannis reached base three times with a walk, hit by pitch and the fourth inning home run. He scored two of the Lions three runs.

Arian Lunar had a run scored and an RBI.
•
Ely Houston threw a scoreless inning in relief with two strikeouts.Â
For the Fighting Knights
• Ryan DiMaggio threw five innings and earned the win allowing two runs, one earned on two hits with three walks and nine strikeouts.
• Andrew Ravelo and Zackary Gonzalez threw two hitless, scoreless innings apiece in relief.
• Justin Lopez collected three hits including a two run and drove in two.
• Jackson Tyer played three runs on two hits with a home run.Â
Game 2 - Lynn 26, Georgian Court 3
How it Happened
• Lynn scored in six of eight trips to the plate and multiple runs in five.
• The Fighting Knights totaled 26 runs on 24 hits with nine extra-base hits.
• Georgian Court scored three times on 10 hits.
• The game started with Lynn scoring six runs in the first. Luca Arenado's grand slam was the biggest hit in the inning.
• Leading 10-0, Lynn broke the game open with an eight-run fifth.
• They followed that scoring six more in the sixth, twice in the seventh and led 26-0.
• Georgian Court broke the shutout on
Colby McMahon's two out home run.

Brian Guzman and
Tomas Tamargo had two-out RBI hits in the ninth to complete the scoring for GCU.Â
