Huge Offensive Night Keeps Lions Alive in Postseason Race

WILMINGTON, Del. (Feb. 25, 2026) - Georgian Court Men's Basketball continued their push for the 2026 CACC Postseason Tournament Wednesday night. The Lions went on the road for the final time in the regular season and avenged an early-season loss to Wilmington. Georgian Court started hot and stayed that way for 40 minutes, on their way to a 100-71 win. The win gives GCU 10 for the season and moves them to 7-12 in the CACC. 

How it Happened
• Georgian Court's terrific shooting night saw them go 36-61 (59%) from the floor and 12-28 (43%) behind the arc.
• The Lions also did a great job holding onto the ball, turning it over just 10 times. 
• GCU had a big advantage on the glass. They outrebounded the Wildcats 39-30.
• Although the Wildcats pulled down one more offensive rebound than the Lions, GCU outscored them 11-3 in second-chance points. 

1st Half
• Georgian Court got off to a 4-0 start as Wilmington missed their first four field goal attempts of the game.
• The Wildcats answered scoring five straight and the lead changed hands six times.
• Trailing 10-9, Georgian Court went on a 9-2 run, going back in front, 18-12.
• The Lions were red hot, shooting 8-10 from the floor following a Cam Edmonds three.
Taheen Braswell-Brown and Donavin Crawford followed Edmonds with threes of their own and GCU was doubling up the Wildcats, 29-13.
• Wilmington scored five straight to stop Georgian Court's 20-4 run.
• The Wildcats briefly brought the lead under 10, 34-25. Edmonds and Santucci made baskets to push the lead back to 13, 40-27. 
• After the team's traded points, the Lions extended the lead back to 15, 46-31, with Edmonds scoring back-to-back buckets in the final two minutes.
• The half ended with Wilmington sinking a three and Georgian Court led 46-34 at the break.

2nd Half
• The Lions sharp shooting continued to start the second half. Crawford hit consecutive threes and extended the Lions lead to 52-36.
• Threes kept raining for Georgian Court who started the half 4-5 from behind the arc. After Crawford's two, Braswell-Brown and Edmonds followed with two more as GCU took their largest lead, 62-41, and Wilmington took a timeout.
• Georgian Court's offense wasn't slowing down. Wilmington was never able to get back into the game as the Lions led by 20 for much of the half. 
• In the closing minute, Anthony Gooden capped the game with a dunk, getting GCU to 100 points. 

Lion Stat Leaders
Cam Edmonds finished with a game-high 29 points. He grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out seven assists. 
Donavin Crawford took 17 three-pointers, hitting six and scored 18 points.
Jaycen Santucci was 7-9 from the floor scoring 18 points.
Taheen Braswell-Brown scored 10 points on 4-6 shooting. 

For the Wildcats
• Jaiden Guy scored 22 points hitting 4-5 from downtown.
• Tre Hawkins picked up 13 points and five rebounds.
• Denim Perkins added nine points and three assists.
• Jaylin Horsey chipped in 11, going 6-6 at the foul line. 

News and Notes
• Georgian Court's 100 points are a season-high. It's the second time in team history they've scored 100 points in game, the last time coming February 5, 2019.
• Not only was the Lions 100 points a season-best they set season-highs in field goals, field goal percentage and three-pointers made in a game as well. 
• The Lions weren't far off of a single-game shooting record. Their 59% shooting is only below their 60.8% shooting effort, also at Wilmington, January 10, 2023.
• This is just the second time GCU has won 10 games in a season. The other coming in 2022-23 when they won 12. 
Cam Edmonds surpassed 400 career rebounds, the fifth Lion to ever reach 400 rebounds. He also grabbed 10 rebounds and recorded the first double-double of his career.
Donavin Crawford moved to fourth all-time in games played. His 17 three-point attempts are the most ever in a single-game by a Lion. 
• Twelve different Lions scored at least one point. 
Taheen Braswell-Brown played in his 70th career game. Thomas Menegus got into his 40th.

• Georgian Court has one final game left during the regular season. They're home against Post Saturday, February 28 at 4:30 pm for Senior Day.
