Lions Come Back With Seven-Run Inning to Secure Game Two Win

JACKSON, NJ (March 28, 2026) - Georgian Court Basebal picked up their biggest win of the season Saturday. The Lions got down early in game two, but used a pair of big offensive frames to come from behind and defeat Dominican 11-8. That gave GCU a split of the series and their second CACC win in the last three games.

Game 2 Georgian Court 11, Dominican 8 - 7 Innings
How it Happened

• DUNY went ahead 5-0 with a two-out RBI single in the top of the second.
• Georgian Court got back into the game in the third. With two outs and the bases loaded, JR Osmond and Zinny Kemahu had back-to-back singles to get to within 5-3 after three.
• Lopez settled in and threw straight three scoreless innings to keep GCU in the game.
• And the GCU offense rewarded Lopez scoring seven runs in the fifth inning. They sent 13 to the plate and took advantage of two Dominican errors.

• With the bases loaded, JR Osmond got hit by a pitch and the Lions were doubling up the Chargers after five, 10-5.
• Dominican got two back in the sixth and threatened for more. An RBI double and a sacrifice fly made it a 10-7 game and the Chargers had the tying run at the plate.
• A deep drive to left nearly tied the game, but Brian Guzman had just enough room with his back to the fence to end the inning with GCU still on top.
• Georgian Court made it a four-run game again in the sixth. Lunar picked up another two-out RBI and GCU led 11-7.
