JACKSON, NJ (April 8, 2026) - On another cold and frigid night, Georgian Court Baseball brought out the bats in game two of their doubleheader split with Chestnut Hill. GCU scored in each of the first four innings to take game two 10-8.
Game 2 - Georgian Court 10, Chestnut Hill 8 - 7 Innings
How it Happened
• GCU knocked 12 hits to score their 10 runs while the Griffins picked up 11 hits for eight runs.
• Chestnut Hill made a pair of errors, allowing two unearned runs to score while the Lions allowed one unearned from stemming from their error in the field.
• The Lions were aggressive on the bases, stealing three bags.
• Both teams left a pleathora of runners on base. GCU stranded 12 and the Griffins seven.Â
• Chestnut Hill plated a pair in the first after loading the bases with no outs. It could have been more if not for a diving catch in center by
Frankie Noviello to end the inning and strand two.Â
• It was Georgian Court's turn to load the bases in the bottom of the inning. Their patient approach led to five walks in the inning.
Arian Lunar a big two-out, two-RBI single made it 5-2 GCU after one.
• The lead didn't even last a half inning. Once again, CHC loaded the bases up. This time one big swing, from Michael Pascoe cleared them with an opposite field grand slam.
• They added another in the second following the grand slam and led 7-5 through an inning and a half.
• Georgian Court got one back in the bottom of the inning as
Zinny Kemahu drove in an unearned run with a two-out RBI single.
• The third inning saw the Griffins score an unearned run as Anthony Letizia scampered home on a wild pitch.
• With two outs an none on, Georgian Court picked up four straight hits. The last of which a two-RBI double from
Brian Guzman as the Lions retook the lead, 9-8 after three.
• The Lions made it 10-8 after four, holding the Griffins scoreless for the first time in the top of the inning and adding an unearned run in the bottom half.
• That's the way the game ended. Chestnut Hill got the leadoff man on in the seventh, but
Evan Corso came in and struck out three straight for the save.Â

How it Happened
• Georgian Court outhit the Griffins 10-8 for the game.
• Of the Griffins eight hits, four were for extra bases.
• CHC made three errors in the field to the Lions one, however all runs were earned.
• Georgian Court hit into three double plays in the game. They still stranded seven runners and CHC left six on.Â
• After a scoreless first inning, Chestnut Hill broke the ice with a four-run second inning. Two runs scored on a wild pitch, another on a sacrifice fly and one on a line drive double.
• CHC made it 7-0 putting up three more and batting around in the fourth. They loaded the bases with nobody out and
Cooper DeLaBarre nearly limited the damage to just one run, but a two-out, two-RBI double opened up a seven-run lead for the Griffins.
• Georgian Court had a two-out rally going putting two on in the sixth, but Luke Schweiker's seventh strikeout of the game ended the inning.
• The Lions finally broke through in the seventh on one swing.
Zinny Kemahu took the first pitch of the inning deep to right to break the Griffins shutout bid.

JR Osmond got the Lions a bit closer in the eighth, driving in two with a two-out, two-RBI single. That followed a questionable call in the outfield where a ball was ruled to be trapped rather than caught to keep the inning alive.
