Georgian Court to Host 2026 CACC Cross Country Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (July 28, 2026) - For the first time in program history, Georgian Court University will be the host of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Cross Country Championships.

The championship meet will emanate from Ocean County Park in Lakewood, NJ Sunday, November 8, 2026. This marks just the third time since 2000 that the CACC Championship meet will not be held at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia and the first time since the 2017 conference meet.

Ocean County Park is a prominent cross-country venue in the state of New Jersey, regularly hosting high school and collegiate meets and was the site of the Division I CAA cross country championships in 2025. The course is mostly flat grass with a few asphalt steps. It loops through scenic pine trees and open fields, making for a fun, fast and spectator friendly course.

Championship Saturday kicks off with the men's 8,000m run at 9 am. The women's 5,000m race follows at 10 am with an award ceremony at the conclusion of both races.

Live coverage of the race can be seen on the CACC Network

Any current Georgian Court student with an interest in joining the Lions Men's or Women's Cross Country team for the upcoming fall are encouraged to reach out to head coach, Mike Murawski, at mmurawski@georgian.edu.
