Fort Lauderdale, FL (Aug.27th, 2026) - Georgian Court Women's Soccer kicked off the 2026 season down in the Sunshine State. The Lions fell 7-0 to Nova Southeastern, who took control early and maintained the momentum throughout the match.
How it Happened
• Nova outshot GCU 24-4 throughout the game.Â
• Georgian Court had the advantage on corner kicks 4 - 2.Â
• NSU committed six fouls in the match, while GCU finished with four.
First Half
• Just four minutes into the match, Nova Southeastern opened the scoring as Genesis Hernandez found the back of the net to give NSU an early lead.
• Hernandez completed her hat trick just 32 minutes into the match, giving the Sharks a 3-0 lead.
• Haley Mettrick scored one more before half to make it 4-0.Â
Second Half
• One of the two corner kicks Nova had in the game led to their fifth goal of the game about 80 minutes into the game.Â
• Five minutes later goal number six was scored by Kamryn PryÂ
• With just 20 seconds left Nova scored their seventh and final goal of the game.
