LAKEWOOD, NJ (Sept. 25, 2026) - Georgian Court Cross Country started their season with races on back-to-back weekends. They took a week off and now get back to racing this weekend.

Weather Report
• While the forecast doesn't look good for the shore, things are much better inland.
• The West Chetser area isn't expecting rain until Saturday night which is good news for athletes and spectators! 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court ran their second race of the year at the Stevens Back to the Bowl Invitational at Holmdel Park.
• The men were fifth among 11 teams while the women took fourth place in a seven-team field
• The Lion men finished in the same order as the opening race with Ryan Pettrow again earning a fourth place finish. He was followed by Richard Riopel and Zachary Spoonire in the top-three.
• Both Dori O'Halloran and Sophia Mauro had top-10 finishes for the second consecutive race.

About West Chester
• This is a flat course that has typically produced fast times.
• The Lions know the area well, having raced their twice last year. 
• However this is a new course from previous West Chester meet.

Reinforcements
• The Georgian Court women's team will add some new faces starting this week.
• GCU is borrowing three from women's lacrosse who are set to run their first race with cross country Saturday morning.
• Georgian Court welcomes Jill Konschak, Nena Menard and Samantha Seaman to the team.
