LAKEWOOD, NJ- The Georgian Court University basketball team dropped its fourth straight ballgame Thursday evening with a 61-50 defeat to CACC-rival Goldey-Beacom College in the GCU Wellness Center.
Freshman #Shawna Wert#, for the third straight game, led the Lions in scoring with 17 points, including 9-for-11 from the free-throw line in 37 minutes. Junior
Lauren Staats tallied 16 points in 38 minutes of action, shooting 80% (8-for-10) from the charity stripe. Freshman
Shaniqua Bacote (pictured) led Georgian Court on the boards with a team-high eight rebounds in 19 minutes of play.

Devonne Richardson (Baltimore, MD) topped the Lightning with 14 points and 12 boards in 37 minutes. Freshman
Akilah Sewell (Baltimore, MD) also reached the double-digit plateau with 12 of her own in 11 minutes.
GCU falls to 3-10 on the year with a 1-5 mark vs. CACC opponents. Goldey-Beacom improves to 6-8 (2-4 CACC).
The Lions return to action Saturday when they host the newest member of the CACC, Concordia College, at 12 PM in "The Well."
