PHILADELPHIA, PA- The Georgian Court University basketball team dropped a discouraging 56-54 contest at CACC-rival Chestnut Hill College Thursday evening at the Sorgenti Arena. With their second consecutive loss, the Lions are now 0-7 away from "The Well" this season.

Freshman Shawna Wert led GCU with 14 points in 38 minutes. Junior Lauren Staats shot 40% from beyond the arc (4-for-10), tallying 13 points in all in 33 minutes played. Freshman Shaniqua Bacote came within one point of a double-double, collecting 10 boards and nine points in 25 minutes.

GCU falls to 5-12 (3-7 CACC) while Chestnut Hill improves to 3-15 (2-8 CACC).
