SPARKILL, NY- The Georgian Court University soccer team ended its season-high, five-game winless streak Thursday afternoon with a 1-0 blanking of St. Thomas Aquinas College.

Kelly Lyons netted her team-leading 13th goal of the season off a Skyler Eiceman feed at 56:46 for GCU's lone tally. Shealyn Sullivan denied three STAC shots to earn the win in net for Georgian Court.

The Lions return to the .500 mark at 7-7-2 while the Spartans of the East Coast Conference fall to 1-11 on the campaign.

Georgian Court returns to action this Saturday afternoon when they host Nyack College at 1:00 PM in the GCU Track & Field Complex. Seniors Eiceman and Shannon Mastrogiovanni will be honored prior to the game during the team's annual Senior Day ceremony.
