Lions Wallop Warriors of Nyack College, 5-0

Candace Seaton collected four assists Saturday vs. Nyack College.
LAKEWOOD, NJ- The Georgian Court University soccer team revitalized its recently stagnant offense Saturday afternoon as GCU, led by Kelly Lyons' season-high four goals, trounced visiting Nyack College, 5-0, in the Lions' final home game of the season.

Prior to the contest, seniors Skyler Eiceman and Shannon Mastrogiovanni were honored with a Senior Day celebration.

Lyons broke the scoreless tie at 18:28 after taking a gorgeous feed from Candace Seaton in stride and racing 40 yards for the tally. Jennifer Molzon made it 2-0 at 25:03 with her first collegiate goal, also courtesy of Seaton.

Georgian Court (8-7-2, 6-4-1 CACC) would take a 3-0 advantage into the half as Lyons secured her second goal of the contest at 32:36, resulting from an Eiceman service.

The second stanza turned out to be the Lyons-Seaton show as Kelly knocked home her conference-leading 16th and 17th goals of the campaign at 69:25 and 73:55 off Seaton feeds, giving Candace four assists on the afternoon.

Shealyn Sullivan earned her eighth victory in net for the Lions, collecting two saves in 71:20. Sammie Jo Garofalo closed out the contest, denying three Nyack shots in 19:40.

The Warriors fall to 5-11 (4-7 CACC).

Georgian Court closes out the 2010 regular season on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Wlimington University (12-3, 10-0 CACC) for a 3:30 PM match.
