Lions Clubbed at Kutztown, 81-56

Jasmine Cobbs scored a season-high 13 points in Saturday's loss at Kutztown University.
KUTZTOWN, PA- Despite senior Lauren Staats leading all players with 18 points and 13 from freshman Jasmine Cobbs, the Georgian Court University basketball squad fell to 0-4 on the young campaign with an 81-56 drubbing at Kutztown University Saturday evening.

The Golden Bears (3-1) scored the first eight points of the game and increased the lead to 37-9 before ending the first stanza at 51-23. KU led by 33 points (70-37) at one point in the second half as the Lions shot just 29% on the night while providing 22 turnovers.

Kutztown's bench provided 46 of the Golden Bears' 81 points with all 14 players represented in the scoring column. Andrea Sisson (Fr.-Richmond, VA) (13 points) and Melissa McQuade (Sr.-Pittsburgh, PA) (12 points) led the KU offense, which shot 45% overall, including 53% in the first half.
 
The Lions are 0-4 to start a season for the first time since beginning the 2006-07 campaign at 0-6.

GCU returns to action on Saturday, December 4th when the Lions commence the CACC portion of its schedule with a 1:00 PM contest at Wilmington University.
